Rescue | Flamingo Minutes
This is not the best Rescue album; this is the most overlooked Rescue album. After putting out two records in the vain of ‘Nines and Sixes’-era Mock Orange, they seemed to follow Mock Orange’s path into a broader, more accessible sound. Flamingo Minutes was the buffer between the two eras, containing an odd mix of their old, math-influenced sound and their new verse-chorus-verse songwriting.
A lot of things were going wrong in the band’s career, and personal lives, and you can hear it on this record.
